Chicago Collegiate is a school devoted to an important mission: to ensure 100% of our students graduate from the college of their choice. In the 2017-2018 school year, we are serving 4th-8th grades, and we will grow incrementally each year until we are a full K-12th grade school in the Roseland/Pullman community of Chicago. Our first Kindergarten grade class will start in the fall of 2018.
To reach our vision, we make sure our core values of Grit, Zest, Excellence, Pride and Courage are reflected in a rigorous academic setting. Our teachers work relentlessly for their students to ensure they are learning as much as they can in the core subjects of reading, writing, math and nonfiction studies (our version of social studies and science). Students also have enrichment opportunities like art, dance, physical education, technology and health during the school day, and in our 3:45-5:00 p.m. block students have the option of activities such as sports, dance, and academic clubs. We take two college trips a year in each grade.
Students receive a weekly "paycheck" which lets parents know about the choices they are making. Maintaining a certain paycheck average ensures you can go on fun field trips to museums, ice skating, farms and anyplace you can imagine--even on a multi-day overnight trip at the end of the year! As you can see, parents choose Chicago Collegiate for a variety of reasons, but the common thread is they want the best education possible for their child!
