Our Founder

Established in 2011 by Beth Napleton and a group of passionate individuals, Chicago Collegiate was born out of a desire to offer quality education to at-risk youth on the south side of Chicago. Beth was a 2011 Building Excellent Schools Fellow, which has an acceptance rate of less than 1%, and through that fellowship was able to travel to over 50 high-performing charter schools from across the country to study their best practices and design Chicago Collegiate.

Our Story

Since then, our school has become one of the most sought-after charter schools in the city. We take immense pride in our commitment to diversity and inclusion, ensuring that our doors are open to students of all races, ethnicities, creeds, sexualities, learning abilities, and primary languages. At Chicago Collegiate, we believe that every student deserves an equal opportunity to thrive and succeed.

Operating both a middle school and a high school, we currently serve nearly 300 students. Our dedicated team of educators and staff work tirelessly to create a nurturing and supportive environment where students can flourish academically, socially, and emotionally.

We believe in empowering our students to become lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and compassionate individuals who will make a positive impact on their communities. At Chicago Collegiate Charter School, we are committed to transforming lives through education and fostering a sense of belonging for all.
