Wellness Policy & Triennial Assessments

Chicago Collegiate Charter School has a Wellness Policy in place for our students, families, and staff. The most recent assessment of our Wellness Policy was last done in the Wellness Committee meeting on December 16, 2024 (see here for High School and here for Middle School). Our school's Wellness Committee meets quarterly.

If you have any questions about the policy or are interested in learning more about the committee, please contact us at [email protected] or 773-536-9098.

Smart Snacks

One element of our Wellness Policy is that students may not bring unhealthy snacks into school to share with their classmates, e.g. cupcakes on birthdays. We encourage all families to consider non-food options for celebrations, such as a small favor. If students would still like to bring food, they should be healthy options such as popcorn, baked chips, or fruit cups. Check out some guidance from the USDA on Smart Snacks for ideas! We appreciate everyone doing their part to keep our students healthy.
